armed with little more than a leaf-green guitar and a loose tongue, singer-songwriter laika berdey is determined to get you singing along to her carefully calibrated blend of emo rock, pop punk and indie folk.
an ex-chorister, ex-librarian, and ex-lifeguard, she weaves words and water to tell her stories of simple joys and wrenching heartbreak, exploring the ecstasies and disappointments of laying your heart in another’s hands (or at their feet) in a disconnected age of disposable interactions.

i am a romantic lyricist in the most traditional sense - lost both in my feelings and in nature, chasing pink skies and new blossoms. i thank flowers, i talk to my neighbourhood birds and rabbits, i befriend trees: wandering through my woodsy corner of a forest city i've always lived in. it's my way of coming to terms with a land-locked life, but if you listen, you can hear me calling out for the sea.
if you feel it too, you're welcome to croon along.
